We had our next prenatal visit today. It was just a routine visit - no ultrasounds or anything.
We didn't have a lot of questions, but we got them answered. We got the paperwork for the next ultrasound, but the doctor prefers us to get it done between weeks 24-28. If we get it done now, it would be between weeks 20-24, so alas, we will wait a little while longer. Hopefully, baby will be ready to let us know if it is a boy or a girl.
We got to listen to the heart beat, once we found it. Baby was moving around in there big time. We heard the heart beat and then we heard THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP. It totally sounded like the baby was playing with a paddle ball (ball on a string attached to a paddle). That would explain a few things but it took us all by surprise.
The physician's assistant that we saw thinks we're having a boy. I do too, but we'll find out as time goes by.Comments:Add a comment:

They were talking about me this weekend. I know it. Grandma & Grandpa came down to Florida to see Great-Grandma & the folks. It was kinda cool because Great-Uncle Ron came down too.
Apparantly when Grandpa, Dad & Great-Grandma all get in the same room it's a little loud because they woke Mommy up on sunday morning. Shame on them. But Mommy is still the good one.
But I know they were talking about me because I could hear them but not clearly. I keep poking Mommy to get in a better position for me to hear but she just wasn't getting the message. I did hear something about "little tumbleweed" and "the Superbowl." What's that about....?
(Daddy will be playing the role of Baby in this journal entry.)Comments:Add a comment:
