I know that the baby has been moving around a bit and I’ve started to be able to feel it. Brian was on his way home from Bennigan’s after playing poker. Baby gave me a good jab and I put my hand on my belly and felt a thump. I was hoping that Brian would get home before Baby stopped wiggling around. Thankfully, Brian got home a few minutes later and I told him where to put his hand. He felt it too which made me feel good that I wasn’t quite crazy with what I was feeling.

We met up with Karen and Anna in Orlando at the Babies R Us. Instead of going straight into the store, we went to TGI Friday’s for lunch. I think the best thing that I had was the fried macaroni and cheese. I got broccoli cheese soup (that wasn’t that great) and a chicken sandwich (which was dry – which is saying something since I always eat my sandwiches without mayo).
So we went back to Babies R Us and started the registration process. We walked all the way around the store with Karen and Anna (sleeping in her stroller). Karen was invaluable since she knew the practical things that we should consider and avoid. Things like getting a crib with a drop down side. We ended up having to do some of the registering online since they didn’t have some things in the store itself.
After Karen and Anna headed back to Titusville, we went to Ross Dress for Less. I found a dress and 3 shirts (for the photo I want of my now pregnant wedding party). I almost passed out from the check out line being too long and very little air conditioning in the store. I was glad that Brian was there because I had to go outside to get some air for a few minutes. Thankfully, it was cool outside and I felt better within a few minutes.Comments:Add a comment:

Today, Brian was off of work today because I had my next doctor’s appointment. We decided to leave a little early and headed up to Altamonte Springs to do a little window shopping at Babies R Us. We looked at some of the cribs and bedding sets. There are so many cute things there!
Then we headed back towards DeLand and ate lunch at Firehouse Subs. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Firehouse. This one was a really nice one with its own parking lot (something rare in downtown DeLand) and even an outdoor sitting area.
We got to the doctor’s office for our appointment. Today was a big day – we would see our baby for the first time. I asked all my questions first so that I didn’t get distracted with the ultrasound. I feel a lot better about my weight now that I’ve talked with the doctor, since I’m down 5 pounds since getting pregnant.
Then we did the ultrasound and Baby got a good report card. Apparently, Baby’s size, head and spine all look good. The doctor showed us the face (although I didn’t quite see it), the legs, the spine and the heart. We got the print out photos and they’re kind of like an ink blot test. Brian helped me label the photos but I had to ask what everything was except for the spine.
It seems that seeing baby takes about an hour to register because I got a little mushy on the ride home.Comments:Add a comment:

I have been really firm about not buying anything for Baby until we see our first ultrasound of the baby.
But I broke my own rule today because there were some baby clothes in the dollar rack at Target. I got 2 onesies and a matching hat. They are labeled for 6-9 months, but they're more like newborn or 0-3 months. That would be why they're in the DOLLAR RACK!
If they're too small for Baby when Baby's born, I'm out a whopping $3, so I'm okay with that!Comments:Add a comment:

We got our first baby present today - a cute M&M outfit for baby with the matching socks from Rob and Karen and Anna. They also gave us an M&M dispenser with some M&Ms. Anna was cute because she couldn’t wait to give us the dispenser and was walking around with it until she could give it to us!
