Well, it is totally official – we’re pregnant. OMG! Even though we’ve been theoretically pregnant since Saturday, it still hasn’t really sunk in yet.

I haven’t started learning everything I need to know yet, but here’s some things I’ve already found out… Things that will suck about being pregnant – only 1 can of Diet Coke a day and only 2g of sodium a day. Cool things about being pregnant – I’m not allowed to clean the litter box and no periods!

I did get my very first piece of baby gear – a diaper bag from my doctor. It’s got so much information in it that it’s not even funny. I’ve got some serious homework to do and studying has never been so important.

Well, today I should’ve gotten my period (TMI, I know). So when I got up in the morning, I took another pregnancy test today. This time, we got one of the digital one so that there wouldn’t be any doubt. The instructions say that results may take up to three minutes but after just 30 seconds, I saw the word Pregnant on the test.

So I called my OB/GYN and made an appointment for the next day. Then I called Brian and told him the results. He still wanted to wait for the official word but I could tell that he was happy. He’s waited a while to be a dad and I know he’s going to be a great one!

Brian had a bad week at work this week. On Friday, I asked him something little about Wilson Photography (since his name is on the business too) and he snapped at me. He was belly aching that everyone always brought him problems and expected him to solve everything for them. Why couldn’t anyone bring him solutions too? Blah Blah Blah Blah! Like I said, a drama queen at the end of a bad week!

Since we’ve been trying to get pregnant, I’ve been taking a pregnancy test a few days before my period should get here. We’ve only been trying for a few months, but I’ve gotten used to it being a negative. Needless to say, I was pretty darn surprised to see 2 lines, meaning a positive result.

I knew there was no way I would be able to keep this from Brian all weekend. So I went into the kitchen where he was and asked him if he was still feeling the same way that he was feeling the night before. He was a bit less ready to jump off the roof and then I showed him the pregnancy test.

He was surprised but wanted to wait to get super excited until after I took another test on the day that I was due to get my period.
